Municipal music and theatre academy, roots in 1922
Music and theatre school of the Mairie de Monaco at 1 boulevard Albert 1er, which grew out of free public music classes created in 1922 and took the name Académie de Musique – Fondation Prince Rainier III in 1956. It runs amateur and pre-professional courses, including the DEM music diploma, alongside jazz, early music and theatre departments.
